Am I lazy for re-Pressing my own chocolate parfait post from 5/1 for National Strawberry Parfait Day? Not necessarily. Maybe I’m so egotistical that I think that I write everything perfect the first time so that once I’m done writing about something, there literally is nothing more to say on the matter.
Or maybe it’s because I’m lazy. Whatever. It’s just that I already did all that research on the parfait, and I kind of am in “poo-poo-land” about parfaits anyway. Plus, since I already said that the chocolate one was quite possibly the only and best way to go when you go parfait, it just feels really lame to go back on that and come up with all kinds of half truths about a strawberry one. I mean, how can you make the perfect parfait even more parfait?
They really are two completely different food groups. The chocolate parfait was something I couldn’t even eat half of without feeling grossly over-stuffed, while the strawberry parfait (both picked up from Publix because they always have them) was something that barely felt like I had eaten anything at all. I think it needed a layer of cake in there. That would have made a drastic improvement to the experience.
